Built in 1885, the Packet is the last remaining historic pub in Cardiff Bay, a stones' throw from the former Pier Head. This area, which once had a grid pattern of streets and a pub on almost every corner has changed out of all recognition since World War 2, but the Packet hasn't. Sports TV is shown and quizzes take place, and there is a pleasant garden at the rear. The changing beer is from the Brains/Marstons stable.
